Presenter Checklist OLD

OLD AV CHECKLIST – NEEDS UPDATING AND FILTERING FOR JUST PRESENTER

AV – Video Checklist

Turning on Equipment

  • Video/Worship Tools Desk
    • Turn on Video/Worship Tools desk computer monitors using the buttons on the bottom right of the screen.
    • Turn on the LED light strip underneath the hutch of the desk. It’s touch sensitive so you have to press on the light strip just to the left of the right hand side of the light closest to the window. 
    • Plug in the white power cable into the right hand side socket underneath the hutch.
  • Overhead Stage Lights
    • Using the light remote, press and hold the centre button to turn the remote on. 
    • The number at the top (01 or 02) represents the light you are currently set to. Light 01 is closest to the windows, light 02 is towards the wall. 
    • Press the centre button to turn the corresponding light on. 
    • Press the top button twice to go into change light mode, then press the + or – button either side of the centre button to switch to the other light and finally press the centre button again to confirm the change. 
    • You can now press the centre button one more time to turn the other light on. 
    • Press and hold the centre button to turn the remote off. 
  • Cameras
    • Using the camera remote, select the camera you want to turn on.
    • Press and hold the power button to begin turning it on. It should flash red. After a short time the camera will ‘come to life’ and tilt up before panning around to face the front. 
    • If it connects properly, the flash red light will turn solid green. If it doesn’t, try unplugging the ethernet cable from the back of it and plugging it in again.

  • Front Room Monitors
    • Use the TV remote to turn the front TV closest to the wall on. It should be set to HDMI 2.
    • Make sure the volume is turned down, as it is sometimes turned up during the week.
    • The monitor on the front right (facing the stage) should automatically power on. 
  • Mid Room Monitors
    • Use the TV
    • Turn on the midway TVs using the other remote. Simply point the remote at each one separately and press the power on button.
  • Stage Monitors
    • There should be a white power board located near the stage monitors. The monitors are plugged into this board, which is then plugged into the electrical outlet located underneath the panel on the floor. Finally power on the stage monitors using the buttons on the bottom right hand side of each. 
  • Side Stage Lights
    • The stage light on the right hand side (when facing the stage) should automatically power on when you plug in the white power cable underneath the hutch on the AV desk. The stage light on the left hand side (if not on already), can be powered on by switching on the electrical plugs located behind the black curtain on the left hand side and/or switching it on on the rear side of the light itself. 

Adjusting Cameras

  • With the cameras turned on, open the camera controller app, and adjust all your presets. You can use the previous week’s angles for a guide. 
  • Make sure that camera 1 is placed at least in line with the front row of chairs so the people standing in that row don’t block it during the songs. You can check this by getting someone to stand there. 
  • If one of the cameras shows up as connected (green led) but doesn’t show up on the camera control software, you can try rebooting it by selecting the corresponding tab on Microsoft edge (each camera is saved as a favourite in the menu):

Check Sound

  • On the stream deck, turn Stream Audio on (so it goes red). 
  • On the video PC, open the TBS tab on Microsoft edge (find it in the favourites menu if it isn’t). 
  • Check underneath the video display on the dashboard tab.
  • If working correctly, you should see a green metre going up and down horizontally to show the audio is coming through:
  • If it isn’t working properly (i.e. you don’t see any audio coming through). You can reboot the system by clicking the options tab, and selecting reboot:

Check Powerpoint Clicker

  • If the speaker is using a power point, check that the powerpoint clicker is working.
  • Turn it on using the slider on the slide, then test going forward and back on the powerpoint. You need to have worship tools selected on the computer for it to work. 
  • If working correctly, place the powered on clicker onto the lectern ready for the service.

Down Stairs Projector

  • Once everything else is working correctly, go down stairs to check that the stream is projecting into West Central. You should be able to hear and see the feed. 
  • If the projector is turned on, use the button located in the store cupboard. You should be able to ask someone in charge of West Central to let you in if it is closed.

Prepare for Stream start

  • Set in house monitors to worship tools room. 
  • Set the camera to camera 2 and the preview to Worship Tools.
  • In the ATEM software, fade halfway from camera 2 to Worship Tools. This will be what goes out to the stream. When you then press ‘AUTO’ it should fade out camera 2 and fade in worship tools ready for the intro video to start. Give it a test just to make sure it’s working. 

Start Stream

  • Start the stream at 9:50 (with the Camera 2, Worship Tools overlay) and start the video at 9:55.
