These are monthly coffee mornings for people grieving over the death of a loved one, to talk and/or listen to others who have been through similar trauma, in a safe and friendly environment.

FAQs

Anyone who finds themselves affected by grief following a bereavement, whether they have a faith or not.

Children are very welcome but they must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.

No. People grieve at different times, sometimes months/years after their loss.

No – a referral is not necessary.

The main aim of the café is to socialise. However, our dedicated team of volunteers is professionally trained to provide bereavement support if you need it. They are qualified to help you understand the process of grief and provide guidance and encouragement to help you live with your grief.

No – however our team will be able to direct you to other organisations offering the service.

Only if you want to. Some people get enough comfort by simple sitting with others and talking about everyday life.

No – come along to as many sessions as you’d like to.

You can arrive and leave anytime between 10am and 12pm.

There is a suggested donation of ÂŁ2.50 per person to cover the costs of refreshments. Donations can be made by card or cash.

You don’t need to book each time you come. However, we are asking everybody to register their details once onto ChurchSuite. This means that we can contact you easily if we need to tell you anything, or we have helpful information to pass on.
