Welcome to Christ Central Youth

Youth Central is a place of community, learning, growing and belonging. We want young people to know Jesus, to grow and learn more about themselves and God.

Our heart is for youth to become confident in who God has made them to be, to know Jesus’ love for them and then to love others like Jesus.

When?

Thursdays

from 7pm – 8:30pm
Year 10 – Year 13

Hanging out, playing games, building relationships discussing the issues of today with a Biblical perspective.

We encourage our older youth during these sessions to take on leadership and support each other in finding answers to their questions

Sundays

from 10am -11:30am
Year 7 – Year 13

Playing group games, winning prizes, leading meetings, worship, prayer & snacks!

Encouraging our youth to build their personal relationship with God. They can find community in Jesus and build each other up with our range of activities.

Our youth work is open to all young people who meet the age criteria. It is led by Mark & Sherise, with many years of youth work experience. They are supported by a team of volunteers and everyone is fully DBS checked.

FAQs

All local Secondary School aged young people (age 11-17)

There is no charge for weekly meetings, but contributions towards special events are sometimes requested.

Yes & No!
Yes, it’s about young people having fun, building healthy friendships and helping them navigate the route from childhood to becoming a young adult
But no, it’s not just a secular youth group. We teach biblical values and want each young person to explore their personal Christian faith journey.

Youth Central is a safe place where young people can have fun, invite their friends, ask questions and grow on their faith journey together.

There is a mixture of team-building activities designed to cater for all personalities and needs. Often the older young people help lead parts of the meetings

Our adult youth leaders and helpers are all carefully selected and trained. They all agree to and adhere to our Safeguarding Policy and have all been subject to successful DBS checks.

Yes there are, and these are great times for the young people to get to know each other better and to spend time with the leaders if they are going though a tough time.

We host youth trips away to Newday and have pizza parties, sleepovers and conferences that we attend together as a youth group

Just come along on a Sunday morning or Thursday evening with your parent or guardian. We’ll want to register you so that we have emergency contact details etc.
