Physical setup (Plugging in the cables)

Stage box

There is s stage box at the back of the worship area (front of the church). It will take 16 inputs and there are 8 monitor or foldback channels.

The box is labelled for which instrument should be connected to which channel. These are the ‘standard’ instruments that we have set up in ‘scenes’ on the desk. There are two inputs from the keyboard, which connect to ‘paired’ channels on the desk.

Typically we have four vocalists. These also now have their own channel on the desk to save us setting up EQ every band.

DI boxes

Typically there should be a DI box between the instrument and the stage box. These are set to zero attenuation

Monitor/Foldback

Monitor channels are labelled on the stage box to facilitate ease of setup.

We have two in-ear monitors (IEM1 and IEM2). These usually go to vocal leaders. Instrumentalists have their own channel.

The mix to each channel can be changed form the desk, or using the app.

To pair the IEM with the radio transmitter, use the instructions found in the filing cabinet by the sound desk.

How can we help?
