These are coffee mornings for people living with dementia and their carers.

It’s a safe and supportive place to make new friends and get additional support.

Dementia Café FAQs

The Dementia Café is for anyone living with dementia and their carers. 

No – a referral is not necessary.

Yes we do need you to stay – we can provide a venue, but are not staffed to give the support needed.

Activity boxes will be provided which include books, DVDs, games, flashcards, activities, jigsaws, music and artefacts, all aimed at stimulating conversation for those with memory impairment. 

The main aim of the café is social. However, the café is open to all professionals who might, at times, also be invited to do a short presentation about a specific topic.  

No – come along to as many sessions as you can.

You can arrive and leave anytime between 10am and 12pm. 

There is a suggested donation of £2.50 per person to cover the costs of refreshments. Donations can be made by card or cash.

You don’t need to book each time you come. However, we are asking everybody to register their details once onto ChurchSuite. This means that we can contact you easily if we need to tell you anything, or we have helpful information to pass on.
